Today I was at Costco and I pulled out a cart. There was some trash in there. At first I thought let me take another cart that is empty. Then I thought hold on, there have been so very many times when people have knowingly cleaned up my mess, my trash, my mistakes. Why shouldn’t I pay it forward? I have made many mistakes in life that may have caused pain or hurt to people I know and also to strangers. Why can’t I dedicate my life to consciously ensuring to clean up my messes from now on and also help clean up the mess of others around me. We can become so absorbed in our own lives that sometimes we don’t clean up the hurtful thoughts, actions, energy or feelings that we have transmitted to others in the course of our daily lives. I don’t know what will happen tomorrow, all I can do is make the best of today by giving my best to all living beings surrounding me. I’m thankful to God for giving me an opportunity to give back what I’ve received. Give with your heart without expectation.
