This is an interesting question that crossed my mind sometime back. So I think it’s an individuals level of confidence that either breeds ego in a person or breeds composed poise in a person. I like to see confidence in mainly two lights…one is the person who has a lot of bravado, talks a lot and also boasts. The other is a level of confidence where the person may not speak a lot but is very composed and poised in the way she/he carry’s themselves. So I believe we don’t necessarily need ego for confidence but it can easily creep up into our habits or even nature when we acquire that confidence. So we must be aware of how we carry ourselves around other people with confidence and composure or confidence and ego. Knowing your innate nature goes a long way in helping you to carry yourself in the best way possible.
