I’ve had this phrase stuck in my head for a long, long time. I decided to share “Meditation is my Medication” today as I felt so relaxed, elated and grateful as I meditated. My body became calm, my mind slowed down, and my heart felt happy. Meditation is like food for me now, if I don’t do it I will be tensed, uneasy, or just out of kilter.
I’m so grateful to have been blessed with this practice. I feel that anyone who has to take any type of medicine, especially mental health medication, should try to practice meditation at least for 5 minutes everyday. It will help to free the mind and heart of any burden, it is a natural intoxicant that can change your life. The practice I do is sacred to me, and with time I have come to learn its importance. It’s not easy to start meditating in the beginning, but if you start slowly for a few minutes everyday, then there is hope.
As my guide has told me, try feeling your body for a few minutes every day or even while your doing your daily task, just feel the pulsations as you go about your day. Take a few minutes out of your day just to feel each body part from toe to head, and count backwards from 10-0. Try the practice it may help you improve your life!
